Fat Fridays: Financier Patisserie
In need of fresh air and a Fat Fridays treat, I bundled up my little one and took to the streets. Our chilly journey brought us to Financier Patisserie, less than a block from home. From a case boasting cookies, cakes and pastries- I chose an apricot tart. Layers of buttery, flaky puff pastry envelope baked fruit in a sweet glaze. The dessert is finished with a light dusting of confectioner's sugar- making it a fantastic Fat Fridays indulgence (and one that anyone should feel good about seeing as it's technically half fruit, right?).
