Market Mondays: Cheat Week

I've been severely under the weather the last few days. Maybe the word "severely" is a bit dramatic, but without the ability to make use of my go-to cold and flu remedies (one of the pitfalls of pregnancy), I feel wiped out. What does that mean for this week's edition of Market Mondays? It's a full on cheat week- when my meal consists of a hodgepodge of the Union Square Greenmarket's prepared/ready-to-eat food. A few wedges of crisp, juicy honeycrisp apple topped with Consider Bardwell Farm's Rupert cheese (sharp and likened to comte and gruyere); the tart, slightly sweet strawberry apple juice from Red Jacket Orchards; two savory turnovers from Body & Soul (black bean and white bean with collard and spelt); and a chocolate chip brownie from Race Farm's bakery (chocolate always makes me feel better).

Honeycrisp apples are addictive- and getting better week after week
