Prelude To A Grand Tasting

As a prelude to its Grand Tasting at the Food Network's New York City Wine & Food Festival, ShopRite, a festival sponsor, held an exclusive luncheon featuring dishes prepared by its Executive Chef, Faith Alahverdian. Guests had the privilege of feasting on three signature recipes made with several ingredients from ShopRite's Private Label.

Each year ShopRite adds a select handful of high quality products to its Private Label. The Private Label currently boasts more than 3,000 items in a variety of categories including ShopRite Imported, ShopRite Organic, ShopRite Auténtico, ShopRite Kosher, ShopRite Fresh Bake Shop, Black Bear, and Readington Farms.

Lunch guests received a sampling of ShopRite's products including marinated olives, artichoke spread, caponata, roasted red peppers, parmigiano topped with balsamic glaze, breadsticks, prosciutto and sopressata

Mount Vesuvius Cherry Tomato Tart made with ingredients from ShopRite's Private Label including imported D.O.P. San Marzano tomatoes, imported Italian cherry tomatoes, imported extra virgin olive oil, Black Bear goat cheese, entertainment crackers and pine nuts
